One of the most exciting truths in Scripture is that God has given every believer spiritual gifts. These gifts are not for our personal glory but for the good of others and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

In Romans 12:6–8 and 1 Corinthians 12:4–11, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit equips each follower of Christ with different gifts—teaching, serving, giving, leading, encouraging, showing mercy, and many others. The beauty of the body of Christ is that these gifts are diverse, yet work together in perfect unity when each of us steps into our God-given role.

This month at Pinnacle Church, we explore a new 3-week sermon series called “Empowered to Serve.”

  • Week 1: Discovering Your God-Given Gifts
  • Week 2: Using Your Gifts for God’s Glory and the Church’s Good
  • Week 3: Guarding Against Misuse and Neglect of Your Gifts

Our goal is simple: that every person at Pinnacle Church would know their spiritual gifts, use them with love, and encourage others to do the same.

To help you on this journey, we’re encouraging everyone to take a Free Spiritual Gifts Survey before or during this series:

A Word of Thanks

Before we begin this series, I want to pause and thank those who are already living this out faithfully at Pinnacle Church.

  • Our Set-Up Team – Thank you for arriving early every Sunday using your organization and servant’s heart to prepare our space for worship each week.
  • Our Welcome Team – Your smiles, handshakes, and warm greetings reflect the love of Christ to every guest and member who walks through our doors. Preparing the bulletin, name tags, and other material helps keep us all updated and connected.
  • Our Events Team – You use your creativity, planning skills, and hospitality to help our church connect and grow together.
  • Our Finance Team – Thank you for your diligence, integrity, and stewardship in managing the resources God has entrusted to us.
  • Our Worship Team – Your talent, preparation, and passion help lead us into God’s presence each Sunday.

Each of you is living proof that when the body of Christ functions as God designed, the church is built up and the Gospel is advanced.

Let’s step into this series with open hearts, ready to discover, develop, and deploy the gifts God has given us. Imagine the impact on Cedar Creek Lake—and beyond—when every believer at Pinnacle Church is Empowered to Serve.
